Via ferrata Tajakante
The Tajakante is not only an adventure for experienced mountaineers, but also for via ferrata beginners who would like to test their limits. Optionally with overnight stay at the Coburger hut or also as a day tour, then best with e-bike to the material cable car to the Coburger hut.
The via ferrata near Ehrwald, known as the Tajakante, is one of the most scenic via ferrata routes in Austria. On this route, short steep sections alternate with flatter passages that allow you to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Zugspitze massif, the Seebensee lake and the peaks around the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze.
The rock formations along the trail offer exciting challenges and require skill and physical fitness. But the effort is rewarded when you shimmy along narrow rock ridges while enjoying the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain landscape.

- Guided tour by state-certified mountain and ski guide, optional rental equipment provided and professional organisational handling.
- Requirements:
- A via ferrata of medium difficulty that includes short, somewhat challenging sections of difficulty levels C and D. The total walking time for the via ferrata is about 4 to 5 hours, while the descent to the starting point Coburger Hütte takes about 2 hours.
- Price:
- Prices start at 550 euros for an individual tour. The price for groups depends on the number of participants.
- Additional expenses:
- If applicable, cable car rides or rental fee e-bike and other expenses of the participants.
